Kapek Named Pac-10 Field Athlete Of The Week

Junior triple jumper Julien Kapek was named the men's Pac-10 Field Athlete of the Week for April 14-21.

Kapek earned the honor by upping his school record to a nation-leading 55-8 1/2 in placing third against an elite field at the Mt. Sac Relays on April 21.

Kapek is the third Trojan to earn Athlete of the Week honors in 2002, joining L'Orangerie Crawford and Nakiya Johnson.
