Rowing Preps For Head of the American

LOS ANGELES - The USC women's rowing team travels to Sacramento, Calif., this week to compete at the Head of the American on Saturday, Oct. 30, on the banks of the American River at Lake Natoma. The one-day regatta, which opens the fall racing schedule for the Women of Troy, is hosted by the CSUS Aquatic Center and features West Coast rowing programs.
USC is sending five boats, including two to compete in the Women's Open 8+, two to compete in the Women's Open 4+ and one Novice 8+ crew. The Novice will race first at 9:30 a.m., followed by the Eights at 12:15 p.m. and the Fours at 1 p.m.
Other teams racing include California, Stanford, UC Santa Barbara, Long Beach State, San Diego State and Sacramento State.
USC's lineups will be as follows:
