Junior Jordan Nasser posted final-round and overall bests to lead the USC men's golf team to an eighth-place finish at the Isleworth-UCF Collegiate Invitational in Windemere, Fla.
The Trojans finished with a 54-hole combined score of 905 (+41) in the 18-team field while Georgia won the tournament for the second consecutive year at 872. USC's third-round total of 311 was the fifth-lowest of the day.
The remnants of Hurricane Wilma forced the players to battle high winds all day. No player shot better than par.
Nasser carded a final-round 74 to finish with 223 (+7), good for a tie for 18th place. Seniors Taylor Wood and Tyler Ley finished with a 79 and 80, respectively, to tie for 26th (225).
Freshman Ryan Linton finished with a 78 on Tuesday and 232 overall (tied for 54th) while senior Bradley Shaw wrapped up with an 82 and 237 overall (71st).
