
Women's Rowing to Compete Against LMU Saturday

This Week The USC women's rowing team will face Loyola Marymount on Saturday, April 9, in a head-to-head competition held at the USC Boathouse in the Port of Los Angles. Races begin at 9 a.m. The Women of Troy are led by Simone Manhold, Barbora Varekova, Ligita Kaviere, Dunja Pejcic, Anna Efremova, Diana Ivanova, Laura McDaniel and Tatiana Boldyreva in the Varsity Eight.
Rankings The Trojans' Varsity Eight crew is ranked No. 12 in the most recent US Rowing/Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association NCAA Division I poll that came out April 6.Their previous ranking was 14. LMU is not ranked.
BBQ to Follow Following the races on Saturday, the Trojan Club will be hosting a BBQ for athletes and fans.

Last Time Out USC last competed at the San Diego Crew Classic, on April 2-3. The Varsity Eight placed third in the grand final behind California and Stanford, respectively, and the JV Eight placed fifth in the grand final, with California winning the race. The Women of Troy's Novice Eight placed eighth overall, 26 seconds ahead of 12th - place LMU.
