Trojans Finish 2nd At Inverness Intercollegiate Invitational

USC junior Joshua Wooding and senior Taylor Wood finished second and third, respectively, at the Inverness Intercollegiate Invitational to lead the Trojans to a second-place finish on Tuesday (Sept. 20) in Toledo, Ohio.
The Trojans wrapped up the first event of the 2005-2006 season with a three-round total of 883 (plus-31), finishing behind only first-place Florida, which won by three strokes.
Wooding finished with a three-round total of 215 (plus-2) after shooting a final-round 74 while Wood did the same to finish a shot back at 216. Only Gator Matt Every posted a better 54 holes (213) than Wooding and Wood.
Trojan senior Bradley Shaw finished tied for 26th (226) after carding a 76 while freshman Tom Glissmeyer concluded his first collegiate tournament tied for 45th after shooting an 80. Junior Jordan Nasser rounded out USC's efforts on Tuesday with a 78, finishing tied for 53rd at 232.
USC is next in action Monday and Tuesday (Sept. 26-27) at the Golfweek/Ping Preview at Crosswater Golf Club in Sunriver, Ore.
