
UC Irvine Men's Volleyball Sweeps USC

The No. 8-ranked UC Irvine men's volleyball team, behind Cory Yoder's 14 kills and Jon Steller's 13 kills, swept No. 11 USC, 30-28, 30-26, 30-22, in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation match on Friday (Feb. 8) at Irvine.
The Anteaters improved to 8-6 overall and 5-4 in the MPSF, while the Trojans dropped to 6-7 and 5-5.
Juan Figueroa had 16 kills while hitting .483 and added 5 digs for USC, which hit just .253 and had no blocks in the match.
Yoder hit .542 and had 3 blocks. UCI hit .500 and had 9.0 blocks.
USC next hosts UC San Diego in an MPSF match on Wednesday (Feb. 13) at 7 p.m. in the Galen Center.
