The No. 2 BYU men's volleyball team swept No. 10 USC, 30-26, 30-24, 30-25, in a Mountain Pacific Sports Federation match in Provo on Friday (April 11).
BYU upped its record to 22-4 overall and 17-4 in the MPSF, while the Trojans fell to 13-14 and 10-11.
The Cougars hit .312 to USC's .177 and BYU had more blocks (10.5 to 6.0) and aces (6 to 1).
Murphy Troy had 12 kills and 7 digs for the Trojans, while Juan Figueroa added 10 kills.
For BYU, Russell Holmes had 10 kills and 4 blocks and Trent Sorensen had 9 kills and 5 blocks.
The teams meet again on Saturday (April 12) in the regular-season finale. Both squads are headed to the 8-team MPSF tournament.
