The USC men's golf team looks to shake off the struggles from its opening 2010 fall event at the upcoming Jack Nicklaus Invitational, hosted by Ohio State, Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 11-12) in Columbus, Ohio.
The Trojans, under fifth-year head coach Chris Zambri and led by 2010 Freshman All-American T.J. Vogel and All-Pac-10 performer Steve Lim, are part of a 10-team field including the Buckeyes, Arkansas, Baylor, Illinois, Kent State, LSU, Oklahoma State, Purdue and Texas.
Play on the 7,140-yard, par 70 course begins with two rounds Monday beginning at 8:30 a.m. CST. The final round also begins at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Results will be available at Golfstat.com.
Zambri's five-man squad in Ohio will consist of Vogel, the Pac-10 2010 Co-Freshman of the Year, All-Pac-10 second-teamer Lim (who missed this year's opening event to attend a family wedding in Korea), sophomore Martin Trainer, an All-West Region performer in 2010, sophomore Stewart Hagestad and freshman Jeffrey Kang.
Rounding out the team are seniors Bo DeHuff and Daniel Park, sophomore Sam Smith and freshman Ramsey Sahyoun.
USC finished 15th to open the season at the Fall Preview.
