
Trojan Challenge Relays Close Out Fall Training Period

The White Team anchored by Kris Washington held off a strong challenge from the Red and Black Teams to win the annual Trojan Challenge Relays today (Dec. 6) as the team ends the Fall training session.
In a USC track and field tradition, the squad is divided into four teams of 15 runners which compete in a relay format, with each athlete running 400m. There was a large crowd on hand to support the teams including USC athletic director Pat Haden who started the race and several former Trojans currently running professionally, including Allyson Felix, Virginia Powell-Crawford, Carol Rodriguez, Lionel Larry, Ahmad Rashad and Duane Solomon.
Dalilah Muhammad was named the female most outstanding athlete of the event as she posted a time of 54.2, while Joey Hughes won the men's most outstanding athlete honor as he ran a 46.6 400m leg.
The White team coached by John Henry Johnson consisted of James Leckie, Josh Tennefoos, Karan Kanchan, Katherine Chang, Charity Bruce, Brendan Ames, Aaron Brown, Joseph Laetsch, Bryshon Nellum, Lauren Blackburn, Oscar Spurlock, Jessica Davis, Allison Rojewski, Catherine Karkut and Washington.
The most outstanding female runner on the winning team was Davis and the most outstanding male runner on the winning team was Nellum.
