The No. 3 USC rowing team capped a successful weekend against ranked opponents by winning two of three events against both No. 2 Virginia and No. 8 Michigan State at Lake Monticello, VA. The Trojans went 3-0 in dual meets after sweeping No. 12 Clemson on Friday.

The Women of Troy returned to the water Sunday morning to face the No. 2 Cavaliers on their home course and were again greeted with unfavorable conditions. Both teams had to combat strong tailwinds and white caps throughout the session.
The Varsity Four got USC of to a good start as they rowed a quick and confident race handling the rough conditions well to finish almost nine seconds ahead of UVA.
Conditions worsened as the Second Varsity Eight race began with very choppy waters in the last 1200m of the course. Racing was tight up to the midpoint where UVA was able to build a slight lead and finish almost three seconds ahead of USC.
As two of the country's top Varsity Eight boats took to the water both teams were fast off the start. USC rowed a clean and confident race, opening water on UVA in the second 500m.
