
USC No. 11 In Golf World Preseason Poll

The USC men's golf team, the 2011 Pac-10 champion coming off its fifth straight NCAA Championships final appearance, is ranked No. 11 in the Golf World/Nike Golf Preseason Coaches' Poll, released Wednesday (Aug. 31).
USC is led by senior Steve Lim and junior Martin Trainer, the 2011 Pac-10 Championships individual champion and an All-Pac-10 first teamer, and is bolstered by the addition of Anthony Paolucci, the nation's top recruit. Also back are junior Sam Smith and sophomore Jeffrey Kang, who were both All-Pac-10 second team choices along with Lim.
Joining them are junior Stewart Hagestad, sophomore Ramsey Sahyoun and freshman Daniel Lee.
USC, which will serve as the NCAA Championships host in 2012 at the famed Riviera Country Club in Palisades, Calif., opens the 2011-2012 season at the Kikkor Invitational at the Gold Mountain G.C. in Bremerton, Wash., Sept. 26-27.
