
USC Varsity Eight Heads To Grand Final

WEST WINDSOR, N.J.-The USC rowing team advanced their highly-respected Varsity Eight boat from semifinals to grand finals on the second day of the NCAA Championships on Mercer Lake in West Windsor, N.J., on Saturday (May 26). The grand finals will be held on Sunday where the NCAA Championship team as well as national title boats will be determined.
The Varsity Eight placed second in today's semi-final with a time of 6:17.48. Virginia finished first in 6:13.35. USC will face stiff competition in the grand final field from California, Washington, Princeton, Michigan and Virginia.
USC' s Second Varsity Eight finished sixth in their semi-final heat today with a time of 6:44.25 and will be racing for seventh place in tomorrow' petite final.
The Varsity Four boat wasn't able to qualify for the semi-finals and will be racing for 13th place in the 3rd final on Sunday.
