LOS ANGELES - Three USC athletes were named to the 2012 Pocock All-America teams to lead the Pac-12 as the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) announced its postseason awards on Monday.
Senior Lenka Vrecnikova was selected to the first team, while senior Helen Tinkus and sophomore Vineta Moca earned second team honors. Vrecnikova was selected to the second team in 2011.
All three Trojans were key contributors to USC's Varsity Eight boat that won its second consecutive San Diego Crew Classic title and placed third at the NCAA Championships in 2012.
These awards recognize the outstanding performances of rowers and coxswains on the national level in women's collegiate rowing.
The Pac-12 sent five teams to the NCAA Championships on Lake Mercer in West Windsor, N.J. All five finished in the top 10 of the team standings, led by Cal in third place.
