Tojans Pull In CRCA Honors

LOS ANGELES -- USC had five rowers selected to the 2012 Division West All-Region teams and three rowers named National Scholar-Athletes the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) announced.
Helen Tinkus and Lenka Vrecnikova were named to the CRCA All West Region first team, while Vineta Moca, Anna Wierzbowska and Dionne Licudine were selected to the second team. All four compete on USC's varsity 8+ boat that won the San Diego Crew Classic and placed third at the NCAA Championship Grand Final.
Melanie Grindle, Vineta Moca and Caroline Trawick were selected as USC's CRCA Scholar Athletes. Criteria for this honor include that the student-athletes have a 3.5 cumulative GPA or higher for her career (through the fall semester/quarter for the current competition year).
