
Trojans Named to All-Pac-12 Teams

LOS ANGELES - USC senior Lenka Vrecnikova was named to both the Pac-12 Rowing All-Academic and All-Conference teams while three others earned academic honors the Pac-12 announced last week.
It is the first All-Conference honor for Vrecnikova who was an integral part of the Trojans Varsity Eight boat during her career at USC.
Members of the All-Conference rowing teams are based upon each institution's finish in the varsity eight championship race at the Pac-12 Championships, which were held May 15 on Lake Natoma in Gold River, Calif. The conference champion provides four members of the All-Conference team, the Pac-12 second-place crew provides three members and the third-place finisher provides two. All other participating conference crews receive one selection each.
With a 3.49 GPA in chemical e ngineering, Vrecnikova earned first team academic honors. She is joined by junior Melanie Grindle (3.56 GPA/business administration) and sophomore Vinteta Moca (3.68 GPA /undeclared) on the first team.
Senior Helen Tinkus, an economics major with a 3.44 GPA earned second team honors.
