Several Trojans also rank in the nation’s Top 100 according to TopDrawerSoccer.
Two Trojans have scored spots on another postseason awards list, with junior Ally Prisock and freshman Savannah DeMelo locked in on TopDrawerSoccer Best XI teams after their work in helping the USC women's soccer team along to a fourth straight NCAA appearance in 2017.Â
In her third season as an anchor on the back line for the Trojans, junior defender Ally Prisock adds another accolade to her 2017 list with her selection to the TopDrawerSoccer Best XI Third Team. The full-time starter has also collected United Soccer Coaches All-West Region First Team and All-Pac-12 First Team honors. With Pricosk's help in the back, USC posted eight shutouts in 2017 and had a goals-against average of 0.85 per game. Prisock also served up an assist for the Trojan cause this season.Â
In her first season of work as a Trojan, Savannah DeMelo stepped up big for USC as a freshman. A starter in the midfield in 19 games, DeMelo scored four goals — including the game-winner at San Diego — and added five assists to finish third on USC's 2017 stat sheet with 13 points on the year. A member of the U.S. Under-20 National Team along with Trojan teammates Julia Bingham and Tara McKeown, DeMelo also was named to the All-Pac-12 First Team and Pac-12 All-Freshman Team this season.
Also this week, TopDrawerSoccer released its Postseason National Top 100 list, with Prisock ranked No. 23 and senior Alex Anthony ranked No. 81 in the nation among sophomores, juniors and seniors. Meanwhile, TopDrawerSoccer's Postseason National Top Freshmen list includes DeMelo at No. 5, McKeown at No. 43 and goalie Kaylie Collins at No. 50.
