Top Chinese amateur Yuxin Lin, who has a host of international experience at the game's highest levels, has signed a National Letter of Intent with the Trojans, USC Men's Golf Head Coach Chris Zambri announced today.

"We are so happy that Yuxin Lin is now a Trojan," Zambri said. "I don't think we have ever had an incoming freshman who has played two professional majors in the same year as Yuxin did in 2018. He is a big hitting lefthander with a big personality to match. He will make an immediate impact on our team."

Lin, ranked just outside of the top 100 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings, is one of China's most accomplished amateurs who qualified for both the 2018 Masters and the 2018 Open Championship after winning the 2017 Asia-Pacific Amateur. Lin, who won the 2015 China Amateur Futures Tour Final, tied for ninth at the 2018 Asia-Pacific Amateur and also played this year at the Volvo China Open and the Maybank Championship. In 2017, he tied for seventh at the Hainan Open, tied for 34th at the Macao Open and tied for 47th at the Shenzhen International.
