LOS ANGELES – The NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament field was announced today and the No. 2-ranked USC women's soccer team received a No. 4-seed and will face Long Beach State at home on Friday at 1:30 p.m. in the opening round.

USC came into the selection process as the second-ranked team in the last Coaches Poll and was ranked eighth in RPI. The Trojans are 15-2-2 on the season and finished third in the Pac-12 standings with an 8-2-1 record.

Long Beach State comes in with a 12-5-3 record after earning an automatic bid by winning the Big West Tournament. The two teams faced each other early in the season, with USC winning that contest 3-0 at home.

The Trojans are making their fifth straight NCAA Tournament appearance and the 17th overall appearance for the program. USC has never missed the postseason under Head Coach Keidane McAlpine and the Trojans won the 2016 National Championship under his guidance.
