Men's Volleyball Splits Squad For USC Fall Tourney, Cardinal Team Goes 3-0

The USC men's volleyball team split into 2 squads for this past Saturday's (Nov. 3) USC Fall Tournament, with the Cardinal team posting a 3-0 record and the Gold team going 0-3.

The matches, which were best-of-3 sets, saw the Cardinal group defeat Cal State Northridge (25-22, 25-16), UC San Diego (25-22, 26-24) and UC Santa Barbara Blue (25-22, 25-23). The Gold squad fell to Stanford (26-28, 25-23, 15-11), Pepperdine Orange (25-17, 25-17) and UCLA Gold (25-16, 25-14).

The Trojans continue their pre-season competition by playing at the UCLA SAC Tournament on Nov. 16 and 17 and then they have an Alumni match on Dec. 29. USC begins its 2019 regular season with a non-conference home match against Alberta on Jan. 4 and then plays in the Outrigger Resorts Invitational in Hawaii on Jan. 10-12 versus Concordia, New Jersey Institute of Technology and Hawaii.
