Junior Justin Suh fired a 2-under 69 to post his sixth straight top 10 finish this season to lead the USC men's golf team in the final round of The Prestige at PGA West in La Quinta, Calif., on Wednesday (Feb. 21).
The Trojans tied for eighth at 21-over 589 (296-293) in the 36-hole event which lost the first round due to high winds Sunday.
Suh finished at 2-under 140 (71-69) to tie for fourth. He birdied five of his final 10 holes to crack the top 10 and post his eighth round in the 60s in his last nine and his 13th on the year in 17 tries.
It his 12th straight top 20 finish dating back to last season, 10 of which have been inside the top 9 and 11 in the top 11. His season stroke average crept up to 68.06.
Sophomore Cheng Jin tied for 36th at 6-over 148 (72-76) while junior Sam Kim tied for 52nd at 9-over 151 (74-77). Sophomore Kyle Suppa (79-74) and junior Issei Tanabe (75-78) tied for 66th at 11-over 153 while freshman Kaito Onishi tied for 73rd at 14-over 156 (82-74).
