The Women of Troy snapped the Buffaloes’ four-game winning streak
LOS ANGELES – No. 12 USC lacrosse (4-3, 2-0 Pac-12) recorded the game-winning goal of an 8-7 overtime victory over No. 15 Colorado (5-3, 2-1) just 41 seconds into the extra period to snap the Buffaloes' four-game winning streak on Friday, March 16, at McAlister Field.

- Sophomore midfielder Kerrigan Miller set a new program record with seven caused turnovers. She also had three ground balls and was credited with the assist on the game-winning goal.
- Senior attacker Maeve McMahon tipped home the game-winning goal and had two assists with five draw controls.
- On the defensive end, senior goalie Gussie Johns had nine saves and picked up six ground balls. Senior defender Lydia Sutton picked up five ground balls and caused three turnovers.
- Sophomore midfielder Kaeli Huff scored a season-high four goals for her fourth-career hat-trick game.
- For Colorado, Julia Lisella tied a school record with 17 saves and led all players with seven ground balls. Darby Kiernan had four goals and three draw controls. Sarah Brown had four draw controls and a ground ball.
- Colorado led, 3-0, through the first eight minutes of the game, but Huff scored goals at 2:02 and with just five seconds to play each time off assists from McMahon to send even the score, three-all, at halftime.
- USC scored four straight over 12 minutes with two goals by Huff and two by sophomore attacker Izzy McMahon to erase Colorado's lead and take a 7-5 lead in the second half.
- Kiernan scored the sixth CU goal and then disrupted USC's final clear attempt and went to goal to score the equalizer with only eight seconds remaining in regulation.
- McMahon won the first draw of overtime and the Trojans called timeout to set up their offense. Out of the stoppage, Miller dished to McMahon who dove to tip the ball off a bounce over the stick of Lisella.
- USC continues Pac-12 play as host to Oregon (3-2, 1-1). First draw between the Trojans and Ducks is set for noon PT on Sunday, March 18, at McAlister Field. The game will be shown on the Pac-12+ streaming platform.
- USC improved to 5-1 all-time against Colorado and has won each of the last five meetings over the Buffs. It is also the second time USC and CU have played an overtime game (Colorado won, 12-11, in Boulder, Colo., on April 11, 2014).
- The Trojans played their seventh overtime game and improved to 2-5. It was only the second overtime game played at McAlister, and the second one this season. It is the first time USC has played more than one OT game in the same season.
- The Women of Troy improved to 32-9 all-time at McAlister Field and moved to 36-11 in all-time home games.
- USC improved to 15-22 all-time against IWLCA ranked opponents.
- The Trojans caused a season-high 18 turnovers against the Buffaloes.
- Sophomore midfielder Kerrigan Miller set a new school record with seven caused turnovers.
- Sophomore midfielder Kaeli Huff recorded her fourth-career hat trick game and finished with a season-high four goals.
