They'll join earlier signees McKibbin and Browning as freshman on 2019 Trojans.
Three players—Izac Carracher from Australia, Liam Schroeder from Marquette University High in Milwaukee, Wisc., and Dylan Lange from Hart High in Santa Clarita, Calif.—have signed with the USC men's volleyball team and will join the Trojan program as freshmen in the fall of 2018, USC head coach Jeff Nygaard announced today (May 30).
They join a pair of previously-announced prep players who signed with USC this past November and who also will come aboard in the fall:Â 6-3 setter Jameson McKibbin of Punahou School in Honolulu (Hi.) and 6-6 outside hitter Brandon Browning of Corona del Mar (Calif.) High.
"We are delighted to welcome these talented young players to our program," said Nygaard. "Izac brings an international mentality and skill set to our team, and he has the right kind of priorities to help us. Liam is a natural blocker and a physical presence at the net, plus he has strong leadership qualities. Dylan is a well-rounded athlete who fits our style of play and his ability to play multiple positions will help our program."
Carracher, a 6-6 outside hitter, earned 2017 All-Combined Independent Schools and All-New South Wales honors at Sydney (Australia) Grammar School.  He competed in the Australian Volleyball League (the country's highest club league) in 2016 and 2017 with the Sydney Warriors, UTSSU and Centre of Excellence teams. He represented Australia in international U17 and U19 indoor competitions in 2016. He also played on the beach, earning a bronze medal at the 2017 Australia Junior Beach Volleyball U19 championships. He also played tennis at Sydney Grammar. He combined his passions of surfing and photography by publishing a surf photo book, Fluid Mocean 2014. His father, Craig, is the president of Volleyball Australia and a member of the Australian Olympic Committee.
Schroeder, a 6-7 middle blocker, was a 2-time (2016-17) All-State first team and All-Greater Metro Conference first team pick as a junior and senior at Marquette University High in Milwaukee (Wisc.). Marquette University High won the 2017 state championship after being the runnerup in 2016. He set the state season blocks record in 2017. He also played with the Milwaukee Volleyball Club. He also played basketball in high school.
Lange, a 6-3 outside hitter/libero, made the 2018 All-Foothill League first team when he had 115 kills as a senior at Hart High in Santa Clarita (Calif.), helping the program record its first-ever win in a CIF playoff match. He was Hart's captain in 2017 and 2018, as well as the team MVP as a 2016 sophomore. He was a 4-year starter with the Legacy Volleyball Club, including on the 15s team that won a bronze medal at the Junior Olympics club division.
