Kerrigan Miller Named to IWLCA All-America Third Team

USC lacrosse midfielder Kerrigan Miller becomes the program’s fifth player to earn All-America status
GRAND LAKE, Colo. – USC lacrosse sophomore Kerrigan Miller (Bayport, N.Y.) was named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-America third team on Thursday, June 14. She is the fifth Trojan to receive All-American status and collects the seventh selection earned by the Women of Troy.
Miller was an IWCLA All-West/Midwest region first-team choice and was also named the Pac-12's Midfielder of the Year and a member of the Pac-12 All-Conference first team. She led the Pac-12 in caused turnovers (40), caused turnovers per game (2.22 ctpg), and tied for first with four game-winning goals. Miller led USC with 49 points, was second on the team with 48 draw controls, and ranked third with 38 ground balls.
Miller is USC's second All-American midfielder. Assistant coach Amanda Johansen—who was named to the third team in 2016—is the other. The Trojans have had two defenders chosen for All-America honors: Courtney Tarleton (2016 first team) and Lydia Sutton (2017 third team). Attacker Michaela Michael holds the other three USC All-America certificates. She was named to the third team in 2015 as the first-ever USC All-American and received first-team notice in 2016 and 2017.
USC finished the 2018 season with a 10-8 overall record and advanced to the semifinals of the inaugural Pac-12 tournament where it fell to champion Stanford in a narrow 15-14 defeat. The Women of Troy were 6-4 to finish third in the league's regular-season standings. Sixth-year head coach Lindsey Munday is 79-38 (.675) through the 2018 season.
