Former Trojan played on USC's NCAA finalist squad in 2015.
Bobby Gojuangco, who was part of USC's run to the NCAA Championships final in 2015 before pursuing a professional career in the private sector, has been named the Trojans new Men's Golf Assistant Coach, Head Coach Chris Zambri announced today.
Â
"I'm excited to have Bobby back at USC," Zambri said. "He has a passion for golf and is a student of the game. In addition, Bobby will be a great sounding board for all things for our players as he graduated just a short time ago."
Â
Gojuangco played for three seasons at USC (2014-16), his Trojan career highlighted by a 2015 junior season in which he started every tournament. He played a key role in Troy's program-best runners-up finish at the 2015 NCAA Championships, winning his quarterfinal and semifinal matches against Texas and Illinois, respectively.
Â
He finished his junior season with a 72.77 stroke average, posting 10 rounds in the 60s and five top 20 finishes, including three in the top 11. Â He saw reserve action as a 2014 sophomore and a 2016 senior and played at San Diego State as a 2013 freshman.
Â
Gojuangco graduated from USC with a bachelor's degree in Cognitive Science in 2016 and has spent the last two years as an analyst at a San Diego-based law firm.
Â
He replaces Justin Silverstein, who served on Zambri's staff for two seasons before being named Head Coach for USC Women's Golf team earlier this summer.
