Women of Troy To Compete at ITA Southwest Regionals

The USC women's tennis team travels to San Diego to compete in the 2019 ITA Southwest Regionals, which will take place from Oct. 17 through Oct. 21 at the Barnes Tennis Center in Point Loma, Calif.

Trojans Eryn Cayetano, Salma Ewing, Estella Jaeger, Ana Neffa, Payton Saca, Sydney Van Alphen and Danielle Willson will participate in the five-day tournament. In addition to the Women of Troy, 15 other teams will compete in the regional: San Diego State, San Diego, Pepperdine, Hawai'i Loyola Marymount, UCLA, Arizona State, UC Santa Barbara, Cal State Fullerton, Cal State Northridge, Grand Canyon, UC Irvine, UC Riverside and Arizona.

Each day will begin with doubles play with singles action to follow.

In 2028, then-freshman Salma Ewing won the ITA Southwest Regional Singles Championship by defeating Pepperdine's Jessica Failla 3-6, 6-2, 6-2 in the championship match.

Results and updated brackets from the Southwest Regionals will also be available on GoAztecs.com following each day of play. Parking and admission at Barnes Tennis Center are free for spectators.
