Rae Lan Reaches Round of 32 At Jack Kramer Collegiate

Senior splits in singles at the event.
Senior Rae Lan started up his Halloween on the tennis courts of the Jack Kramer Club, getting some singles action in as he continues his first season of competition with the Trojans.
Lan kicked down the starting gates of the Jack Kramer Collegiate with a resounding straight-set win in the singles Round of 64. Lan topped BYU's David Ball with a 7-6, 6-3 win to earn himself an extended stay at the event. In the Round of 32, Lan was up against UCLA's Connor Hance, whom Lan pushed to a third set before falling in a tough match 7-6, 2-6, 7-5 to finish things with a split at the event.
Lan has won three singles matches in his first fall stretch as a Trojan, holding a 3-3 mark overall as he sets up for the final tournament of the fall this week. Lan will be joined by teammates Bradley Frye, Ryder Jackson and Jake Sands at the Southern California Intercollegiate Championships, held at USC's Marks Stadium Nov. 7-10. Four other Trojans — Mor Bulis, Daniel Cukierman, Stefan Dostanic and Riley Smith — will be heading to Newport Beach this week to compete at the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships Nov. 6-10.
