THIS SEASON: Rae Lan is a senior at USC and is entering his first season of competition as a Trojan after previously serving as a manager.
HIGH SCHOOL: Lan was selected to the San Diego Union Tribune All-CIF First Team as a senior at Westview High... Also earned All-Academic First Team honors... Reached the boys 16 singles quarterfinals of the USTA International Spring Championships.
PERSONAL: Rae Lan was born March 29, 1998 in San Diego, Calif.... Parents are Bill and Jenny... Lists Roger Federer as his biggest sports hero... Has always wanted to learn to surf... Hopes to attend medical school after graduation... Also works in a neurobiology lab at USC...Majoring in neuroscience and minoring in biotechnology.
