In a race to the finish, each of the Trojans' top three courts won first sets over the Sun Devils. At the third position, sophomore Haley Hallgren and senior Alexandra Poletto took a 21-17 win over Emily Anderson and Lauren Weintraub; and had a 14-7 lead in the second set when play stopped. At the second court senior Terese Cannon and sophomore Sammy Slater defeated Katelyn Carballo and Katie Cross, 21-13, in the first and led, 18-17, when their match was suspended.

It was the Trojan pair's 10th straight win together and helped them improve to 28-2 on the season; 59-4 all-time.
Up next, the Trojans meet crosstown rival UCLA (30-1) in the winner's bracket final at 4:30 p.m. PT. The Bruins are ranked No. 1 in the nation and hold the tournament's top seed. The dual will be shown live on Pac-12 Networks.
