Trojan Hammer Throwers Post PRs at Beach Opener

Karlee Freeman and Katherine Longjohn in the women's hammer throw and Jason Kim and in the men's hammer throw set personal bests at the Beach Opener in Long Beach, Calif. today (March 6). The majority of the Beach Opener will take place on March 7 beginning at 10 a.m.
- Freeman had an over a 31-foot PR of 174-8 (53.23m) to place sixth in the women's hammer throw. Longjohn also had a PR of nearly 24-feet with a mark of 148-4 (45.22m) which was good for 16th. Joy McArthur had fouls in her three attempts.
- Kim took 13th in the men's hammer throw with a slight PR of 166-6 (50.74m). Nathan Bultman had fouls in his three attempts.
- Colette "Coco" Putnam had fouls in her three attempts in the women's javelin throw.
