January 22, 2021 | Women's Swimming & Diving
Freshman Kaitlyn Dobler posted a pair of wins (100y free, 100y breast) to lead the women's swim team during day one of their Tri-Meet against UCLA and Arizona on Friday (Jan. 22) to kick off the 2020-21 regular season.
The Trojans, who had their 2020 postseason canceled due to coronavirus, returned to competition after 328 days since their last meet (Pac-12 Championships, Feb. 29, 2020.)
"I thought they did awesome today. I'm really proud of them because if there was ever a time to fight on, this is the season. These last few weeks have really required us to dig deep and I'm excited about where we are asa team. We're growing and their leadership and accountability is extremely impressive," said USC Head Coach Jeremy Kipp.
The Women of Troy opened the meet with a win in the 400 medley relay, as Kaitlyn Dobler, Isa Odgers, Jemma Schlicht and Marta Ciesla posted a 3:44.61 to take the event.
In her Trojan debut, freshman Dobler led a USC 1-2 finish in the 100y breast, posting a 1:00.41 to take the event. Junior Isa Odgers touched second in 1:02.08.

USC dominated the 100y free, with Dobler (50.40) leading a 1-2-3 Trojan sweep. Ciesla was second in 51.61 and Schlicht was third in 51.69.
