Isa Odgers Wins Twice To Wrap Up USC Women's Home Opener

Junior Isa Odgers won two races while senior Jemma Schlicht claimed an event as the USC Women's Swim team wrapped up their season opening Tri-Meet against UCLA and Arizona on Saturday (Jan. 23) at the Uytengsu Aquatics Center.
For the second day in a row, The Women of Troy won both relays, opening and closing the meet with wins in the 200 medley and 400 free relays. USC's Mathilde Jean, Kaitlyn Dobler, Jemma Schlicht and Marta Ciesla posted a 1 :42.66 to win the 200 medley and Dobler, Schlict, Odgers and Ciesla handled the 400 free relay (3:24.83) with ease.
2020 CSCAA All-American Odgers led a USC sweep in the 200y breast as the junior posted a 2:12.43. Maggie Aroesty was second in 2:22.18 and Maile Lawson was shortly behind in 2:22.90. Odgers also took the 400 IM, finishing in 4:17.91.
Schlicht tied for first with UCLA's Sam Baron in the 100y fly, touching in 55.34. Makenna Turner was sixth, posting a 56.53.
The Trojans will tentatively travel to the bay area next weekend to take on Pac-12 rivals Stanford and Cal. All meets are currently TBD as COVID-19 safety protocols remain priority.
