2021: Lawson provided depth for the Trojans in the breast/IM events in 2021, repeating as a Pac-12 scorer … At the 2021 Pac-12 Championships, Lawson finished 10th in the 200y breast (2:13.61), 23rd in the 200y breast (1:04.04) and was 29th in the 200y IM (2:06.80) … Against Cal (Jan. 29), Lawson was seventh in the 100y breast (1:04.62) and eighth in the 200y IM (2:09.58)
2020: Lawson became a Pac-12 scorer as a 2020 freshman, competing in three events at the Pac-12 championships, finishing 18th in the 200y breast (2:16.72), 26th in the 100y breast (1:03.61) and 42nd in the 200y IM 2:08.13 … Earlier in the season, Lawson finished eighth in the 200y breast at the Art Adamson Invite, earning an NCAA B cut … Competing in her first distance event of the season, Lawson finished fourth against Stanford posting a 10:44.91 in the 1000y free … Against UCLA, Lawson completed a USC sweep posting a 2:15.44 to take third in the 200y breast
HIGH SCHOOL: Lawson, the top-ranked prep swimmer in Hawaii as a senior, was a 2019 state champion and finalist as a senior at Hawaii Preparatory Academy in Kamuela, Hawaii, taking first in the 100y breast (1:03.89) and third in the 200y IM (2:08.71) … She set a Hawaii LSC record in the 110m breast (1:11.45) at the 2018 Oceania Championships in Papau, New Guinea … At the 2018 Hawaiian Age Group Long Course State Championships Lawson was a four-time champion and two-time finalist finishing first in the 200m fly (2.22.09), 200m IM (2:23.22), 200m breast (2:35.20), and the 100m breast (1:12.39) … She is a five-time champion and three-time finalist overall at the Hawaiian Swimming Senior Fall Championships … She is a NISCA and USA Swimming Scholastic All-American … Lawson also competed in cross country in high school.
