USC served a season-high 8 aces. No Trojan had more aces in a match than Fauntleroy's 5 aces since Micah Christenson had 6 versus BYU in 2013.
Fauntleroy hit .438. Danny Sutton Farrell had a match-high 4 blocks for the Trojans and Chris Hall had a match-best 7 digs.
For Stanford, Kupono Browne had 10 kills while hitting .529, Kevin Lamp added 9 kills (hitting .438) and Luke Turner had 8 kills.

USC jumped out to a 6-1 start in the first set and steadily extended that margin while hitting .556 and serving 3 aces in the set.
In the second set, the Trojans scored 6 out of 7 points to build a 7-4 lead before the Cardinal went on a 4-point run to go up 13-12, but USC soon after restored order by going on a 6-0 run to move out to a 19-14 lead and Stanford couldn't recover as Troy hit. 529 and served 4 more aces.
Stanford scored the first 4 points of the third set, but USC tied it at 14-14 and a bit later went on a 5-point run to build a 21-17 lead, all it needed to close out the match.
USC now travels to play No. 2 BYU for a pair of MPSF matches on Thursday (April 1) and Friday (April 2).
