USC To Host 2022 Pac-12 Cross Country Championships In Riverside Friday

The USC women's cross country team will be competing at and hosting the 2022 Pac-12 Cross Country Championships at the Ag Ops Course in Riverside, Calif. on Friday (Oct. 28). The women's 6K race will begin at 8:40 a.m. and will air live on the Pac-12 Network.
There will be six ranked women's teams competing, led by No. 9 Stanford, No. 10 Utah, No. 11 Colorado and No. 12 Oregon. There will be four ranked teams competing in the men's race which is slated to start at 9:40 a.m. USC last hosted the Pac-12 Cross Country Championships in 2009 at Skylinks Golf Course in Long Beach, Calif.
The Trojan women who are scheduled to compete Friday are Janiah Brown, Jacqueline Duarte, Ashlee Gallegos, Vienna Gao, Maya Lacamp, Giovanna Pisano, Brooke Rodi and Lucy Westlake.
As part of the Championship festivities, former USC cross country runners Amy Goodwin (1992), Chloe Berry (2020), Amber Gore (2019) and Rose Supangan Moe (1997) will be on hand to help present awards.
USC placed 11th at the 2021 Pac-12 Cross Country Championships held in Utah, which was its highest finish since also placing 11th in 2014 at the conference meet. The last time USC finished higher at the Pac-12 Championships is when it finished 10th in 2012.
