Keys to the Game:
-
Stay focused and disciplined for a full 60 minutes:
-
Statistically, Colorado is likely to be the weakest opponent USC will face this season. The Trojans have a mantra of playing their best version of football no matter who they play, and that should continue on Friday. Head coach Lincoln Riley described a "hunger" within the team to put together a full performance on both sides of the ball and USC's matchup against Colorado presents a great opportunity.Â

-
Continue to roll on offense
-
Quarterback Caleb Williams has really found his stride in the second half of the season and he should look to continue the Trojans' momentum on offense Friday. The Trojans' strengths on offense are a direct clash against the Buffaloes weaknesses. USC is averaging 41 points per game (PPG) and is on pace for the program's highest PPG average since 2005. Meanwhile, Colorado's defense ranks second to last in the FBS, allowing 40.2 PPG. In addition, the Trojans rank 4th in the country in 3rd down efficiency, while the Buffaloes are last in 3rd downs allowed. Friday represents a great opportunity for Caleb Williams & Co. to continue their success.

Play fast and physical on defense:
-
Dating back to last season, Colorado has been held to 20 points or fewer in 16 of its last 21 games. Though they had a short week to prepare, the Trojans should aim to start fast and play confidently in the Coliseum. Head coach Lincoln Riley previewed Thursday that inside linebacker Ralen Goforth is expected to return the lineup Friday giving USC an added boost.
