No. 24 USC Women's Volleyball Falls to No. 2 Stanford

Mia Tuaniga and London Wijay both produced double-doubles in a four-set match against the Cardinal
LOS ANGELES – The 24th-ranked USC women's volleyball team (18-10, 12-6 Pac-12) fell in a four-set decision (26-28, 25-14, 25-15, 32-30) to No. 2 Stanford (24-3, 17-1) at Galen Center on Sunday, Nov. 19.

- Jr. S Mia Tuaniga put up 34 assists to go with 12 digs for her 13th double-double of the season (28th career). She also had three kills and a pair of blocks (one solo).
- Fr. OH London Wijay recorded 12 kills with a career-high 15 digs for her fifth double-double of the season.
- So. MB Tyrah Ariail scored seven kills (1e, 21att, .286) with two blocks, two assists, and a service ace.
- In the absence of Sr. OH Skylar Fields, Jr. OH Katelyn Smith started the match and finished with eight kills, three digs, two blocks (one solo), and a pair of service aces.
- Sr. MB Lindsey Miller had seven kills (3e, 18att, .222) and a block.
- So. LIB Gala Trubint put up 13 digs with a service ace and an assist. It was her 44th-career match in double-digit kills.
- For the Cardinal, Kendall Kipp led with 18 kills and added 12 digs for the double-double to go with five service aces. Elia Rubin also had a double-double with 12 kills and 10 digs. Sami Francis put up nine kills and led all players with seven blocks. Kami Miner posted 48 assists and 11 digs for a double-double, and Elena Oglivie led all players with 21 digs.
- Six different Trojans had kills in the first set and USC out-dug Stanford, 24-22, with eight from Wijay and six from Trubint to complete a 28-26 win. Miller led all Trojans with four kills in the opening frame while Wijay, Smith, and Gr. OPP Kalyah Williams each added three kills apiece.
- The Cardinal never trailed in the second and evened the match with a 25-14 win behind .269 hitting and three kills apiece from Kipp, Rubin, and Francis. USC hit negative in the set with seven kills on 29 swings.
- Stanford went up, 2-1, with a 25-15 win in the third set behind a .375 hitting performance. Wijay added four more kills and Ariail had two kills, but the Trojans couldn't keep up with the Cardinal despite five early ties.
- The fourth set was tied 21 times and the lead changed hands 13 times before Stanford managed to seal the win with a 32-30 decision. Wijay and Smith contributed four kills apiece and Tuaniga put up six digs to go with 10 assists in the final frame. The Trojans collected 15 kills and hit .200 in set four.
- The Women of Troy head to Eugene, Ore., to take on sixth-ranked Oregon (24-5, 14-4 Pac-12) at Matthew Knight Arena at 6 p.m. PT on Tuesday, Nov. 21. The match will be carried live on a Pac-12 Insider stream.
- USC fell to 26-72-1 all-time against Stanford and sees its losing streak to the Cardinal go to 13 consecutive matches dating back to 2015.
- The Women of Troy fall to 11-1 at home this season and have a 13-match home win streak (Nov. 12, 2022) ended. USC goes to 204-55 all-time at Galen Center.
- Stanford's win clinched the Pac-12 title for the Cardinal.
