Four Trojans reached double-digit points to help USC end an eight-match losing streak
IRVINE, Calif. – The 13th-ranked USC men's volleyball team (9-15, 2-9 MPSF) completed a five-set win (25-20, 25-18, 22-25, 23-25, 15-12) over Concordia (8-17, 2-9) at CU Arena on Thursday, April 13. The win ends an eight-match losing streak for the Trojans.

- Fr. OH Dillon Klein led the Trojans with 22.0 points earned on 16 kills (5e, 33att, .333), four blocks (one solo) and three service aces. He also had four digs as he reached double-digit kills for the 18th time and points for the 20th time.
- Gr. OH Kevin Kobrine reached double-digit points for the 15th time and finished with 15.5. He had 15 kills for his 12th match in double-digit kills and added five digs and a block.
- Sr. MB Lucas Frassrand had eight kills (1e, 10att) and hit .700 to go with seven blocks and two service aces to notch 13.5 points; his fifth time in double-digit points this season.
- Jr. MB Kyle Paulson had nine kills (2e, 17att, .412) with four blocks to reach double-digit points (11.0) for the second time.
- RS So. OH Jackson Reed racked up six kills, four blocks, and a service ace to finish with nine points.
- Jr. S Nate Tennant put up 46 assists to guide the Trojans to a .345 hitting rate and had eight digs to go with three blocks and three service aces. Tennant added a kill to finish with 5.5 points.
- For the Golden Eagles, Uriel Batista led with 19 kills but had 15 errors on 48 swings to hit .083. Max McCullough and Gil Herold each had eight kills apiece. Nathan Biteau put up 43 assists with seven digs.
- The Trojans got six kills from Klein and two each from Frassrand, Reed, and Kobrine to hit at a .423 clip in the opening frame. USC held the Golden Eagle attack to just 10 kills on .227 hitting to close out a 25-20 win.
- USC hit .385 in the second frame and posted four blocks to hold CUI to a .067 hitting rate for a 25-18 win. Paulson and Kobrine each had four kills apiece in the second set. Frassrand had two kills and three blocks in the second.
- In the third, Kobrine added five kills and Klein picked up four more, but the Golden Eagles racked up 15 kills while hitting .500 to hold off the Trojans for a 25-22 win to send the match to a fourth set.
- CUI posted 3.5 blocks to match the Trojans in the fourth and broke the eighth tie of the frame to force set five with a 25-23 win. Kobrine led the Trojans with three kills, but USC hit .107 as a team in the fourth.
- The score was tied eight times in the fifth and the lead changed hands twice, but USC held on down the stretch to complete a 15-12 win. Uriel had four kills and Herold had two for the Eagles. The Trojans had eight kills with two service aces and a block to complete the night with 12.5 blocks and nine service aces.
- USC closes the regular season at home against Eagles on Saturday (April 15) at Galen Center. The match will begin at 7 p.m. PT and be shown live on the USC Live Stream platform. The Men of Troy will celebrate their senior class of George Dyer, Lucas Frassrand, Simon Gallas, and Kevin Kobrine in post-match ceremonies.
- USC is 13-6 all-time against Concordia and has won five straight over the Golden Eagles.
- The Trojans had 12.5 blocks against the Eagles and have reached double-digit blocks in nine matches this season. USC has out-blocked its opponent 16 times this spring.
- USC matched a season high of nine aces previously set against CSUN (Jan. 25). It is the Trojans' 10th match with five or more service aces.Â
