USC Baseball Welcomes 18th-Ranked Recruiting Class

LOS ANGELES - The USC baseball team, entering its fourth season under head coach Andy Stankiewicz, welcomed the No. 18-ranked recruiting class in the nation this fall according to Perfect Game.

In the class, 17 players are ranked in the Top 25 and six are in the Top 5 at their position in their state, while three are rated Top 10 overall in their state. In California, USC has 10 players ranked in the Top 25 at their position, including the fifth overall shortstop, fifth and sixth overall catchers, and fifth overall left-handed pitcher. The incoming USC class features 20 new players, with seven transfers and 13 freshmen.

TRANSFERS:

Isaac Cadena
5-10 | 215 | C | Placentia, Calif. | El Dorado HS | Ohio St. | TCU

Played in 56 games, making 54 starts in 2025 at TCU
Totaled 48 hits on the year and scored 41 runs
Recorded four doubles, two triples, and eight home runs, driving in 34 runs
Tallied 11 multi-hit games and 10 multi-RBI contests, with a base hit in 37 games and reached safely in 46
In 2024, he appeared in 27 games and started in 17 for Ohio State, batting .263 with 21 hits, including 10 doubles and three home runs, 20 RBIs, and 14 runs scored
Three-year letterwinner at El Dorado HS and had a .373 batting average his senior year

In three seasons at Chapman, he threw 124.1 innings, with a career 2.68 ERA and 14 saves. He tallied 153 strikeouts and just 41 walks in his tenure at Chapman
As a senior, he had a 2.53 ERA with 105 strikeouts, a 0.98 WHIP, and tossed two complete games as a starter
In 2023, as a freshman, he had a 1.27 ERA and racked up a team high 8 saves in 21.1 innings pitched with 20 strikeouts and six walks
Named the D3baseball.com Region-X Rookie of the Year and was named Second Team All-Region after his freshman year
Played two varsity seasons at Brophy College Prep and was First-Team All-Conference as a senior

In 2025, he made five starts on the mound, striking out 23 in 26.2 innings pitched for Ohio St. and was an Academic All-Big Ten honoree
