USC Women’s Rowing Continues Spring Competition At San Diego Crew Classic

Trojans opened 2025 with a win over UCLA, now looking for a strong showing in San Diego.
LOS ANGELES — USC women's rowing is aiming for a strong showing in its second spring regatta of the year — the San Diego Crew Classic. Under the direction of first-year head coach Kelsie Chaudoin, the Trojans will compete in heats on Saturday (March 29) with finals set for Sunday (March 30) in San Diego's Mission Bay.
USC's four boats will each be in the first heat of their respective races on Saturday, with Trojan start times for each race below.
Saturday's Race Schedule:
9:52 a.m. — Varsity 8+ Jessop-Whittier/Cal Cup Collegiate Invitational
Heat 1: Lane 1 — Texas; Lane 2 — USC; Lane 3 — WSU; Lane 4 — San Diego; Lane 5 — UC San Diego
10:48 a.m. — Varsity 4+ Karen Plumleigh Cortney Cup
Heat 1: Lane 1 — Texas; Lane 2 — USC; Lane 3 — Notre Dame; Lane 4 — Sacramento State; Lane 5 — San Diego
11:04 a.m. — 2V8+ Jackie Ann Stitt Hungness Trophy
Heat 1: Lane 1 — Texas; Lane 2 — USC; Lane 3 — WSU; Lane 4 — San Diego; Lane 5 — Sacramento State
12:08 p.m. — Novice 8+ Laurel Korholz Trophy
Heat 1: Lane 1 — Washington; Lane 2 — USC; Lane 3 — UCLA; Lane 4 — San Diego; Lane 5 — Univ. Victoria
The top four finishers in each heat of the V8+, V4+ and 2V8+ events will advance to the A finals on Sunday. That day, A and B finals races will take place throughout the day, with that schedule available HERE and below.

LAST ACTION
USC defeated UCLA in the annual head-to-head dual for a fifth straight time and improved to 23-1 all-time over the Bruins at the Port of Los Angeles on Saturday, March 8. The Women of Troy collected a 20-3 victory with wins by the 1V8+, 2V8+, 3V8+ and the 1V4+. With the win, USC retained the Amy Fuller Kearney-Lori Guerrero Azbill Trophy, which honors long-time late former UCLA coach Amy Fuller Kearny and former USC assistant coach Lori Guerrero Azbill.
