Incoming Trojan Jazzy Davidson Named To USA Basketball’s U19 Team
June 20, 2025 | Women's Basketball
The 2025-26 USC freshman will compete at the 2025 FIBA U19 World Cup in Czechia.
A four-time Gatorade Oregon Player of the Year, incoming freshman Jazzy Davidson will get into international action before joining her USC women's basketball teammates thanks to her selection to the USA Basketball U19 Team. Davidson and Team USA are bound for Brno, Czechia, to compete in the FIBA U19 World Cup from July 12-20.
Davidson secured her spot with Team USA after a three-day trial in Colorado Springs, Colo. No stranger to international competition, Davidson last represented the United States at the 2024 FIBA USA 3x3 World Cup, where she won a gold medal last summer. Also last summer, Davidson picked up gold as a member of Team USA at the 2024 FIBA U18 AmeriCup. She also was a member of the 2025 USA Nike Hoop Summit Team.
Ranked as the No. 1 recruit in the class of 2025 by ESPN, Davidson earned Naismith All-America First Team honors in her senior season at Clackamas High. She also is a McDonald's All-American and was a 2025 Naismith Trophy finalist.
In Czechia, Team USA will compete in Group A alongside Israel, Hungary and Korea. The U.S. women will tip off vs. Korea on July 12 before taking on Hungary the following day, both at 2:15 p.m. ET. Group play concludes against Israel on July 15 at 8:30 a.m. ET.
The FIBA U19 Women's World Cup, which was launched in 1985, features the world's top 16 U19 national teams who qualify based on their finishes the previous year at the biennial U18 zone championships (USA won gold at the 2024 FIBA U18 Women's World Cup). The USA has won the gold medal in nine of the last 10 competitions, including the last three. For more information on the 16th staging of the FIBA U19 Women's World Cup, click here.
