2025-26 Big Ten Conference Schedule In Place For USC Women’s Basketball
September 18, 2025 | Women's Basketball
The Women of Troy are ready for their second season of action in the conference.
USC women's basketball is primed for year two of action in the Big Ten Conference, and the slate is set for conference action in the 2025-26 season that is just around the corner. The Big Ten released the full women's basketball conference schedule today (Sept. 18), with only television selections and tip times to come.
The Women of Troy are again set to host a competitive lineup of Big Ten teams at Galen Center and will challenge the remaining opponents on the road. USC also has a home-and-away series against crosstown rival UCLA on tap. With this being the second season in the conference, there will be a few more firsts for the pregame, with new opponents making their first trips to Galen Center while the Trojans will mark their first trips to several road venues.
USC's Big Ten slate kicks off early against a familiar foe with Washington coming to Galen Center on Dec. 7. After a stretch of nonconference play, USC resumes Big Ten action with a trip across town to UCLA on Jan. 3, where the Trojans clinched the 2025 Big Ten regular-season title. Another former Pac-12 member is in line next, with Oregon coming to Los Angeles for a Jan. 6 meeting at Galen Center.
USC's first out-of-state conference clash takes the Trojans to Minnesota for their first-ever road meeting with the Golden Gophers. That is followed by two more firsts, as Maryland and Purdue will make their first appearances at Galen Center with a visit to LA on Jan. 15 and 18, respectively. USC has a Michigan road swing next, visiting the Wolverines and Spartans, and the returning to welcome two more newcomers to Galen Center. Iowa and Purdue also have never played at Galen Center, and they'll be in town to take on the Trojans Jan. 29 and Feb. 1, respectively.
February has two more road trips on tap for the Trojans with visits to Northwestern and Illinois — the first trip to Champaign, Ill., for USC — and then a swing to Ohio State and Penn State at the end of the month. Between those journey, USC has Indiana and Wisconsin at Galen Center for Feb. 12 and 19 clashes, with the Badgers set for their Galen Center debut on that visit.
USC's Big Ten regular-season finale brings the Bruins to Galen Center for another heated crosstown showdown on March 1. After that, the top 15 teams in the conference will do battle at the 2026 Big Ten Tournament, taking place March 4-8 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
Winners of the Big Ten regular-season tile and a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament last season, USC is coming off its second straight NCAA Elite Eight run in a year that saw JuJu Watkins become USC's third Naismith Trophy winner while also earning another set of All-America honors along with grad student Kiki Iriafen. Watkins' endured a postseason injury that has sidelined her, but the 2025-26 Trojans have a talented group at the ready under two-time finalist for the Naismith Coach of the Year, Lindsay Gottlieb. Two USC players won gold medals in international action over the summer, with 2025 Big Ten All-Freshman and All-Defensive Team honoree Kennedy Smith winning gold with Team USA at the FIBA AmeriCup. Incoming freshman and the nation's No. 1 recruit Jazzy Davidson, meanwhile, grabbed gold with the United States at the FIBA U19 World Cup.
USC also boasts a power-packed group of transfer additions. Gerda Raulusaityte comes to USC from Lithuania, joining fellow incoming transfers Kara Dunn, Londynn Jones, Dayana Mendes and Yakiya Milton. The Trojans also have extra experience back with more talented returners in junior Malia Samuels, sophomores Rian Forestier, Vivian Iwuchukwu, Brooklyn Shamblin and Laura Williams. USC went 31-4 overall last season with a 16-1 finish in Big Ten regular-season action to earn the regular-season title and earn the top seed in the 2025 Big Ten Tournament, where the Trojans finished runners-up to rival UCLA.
Television selections and tip times are yet to be announced and will be listed on the USC women's basketball schedule page when finalized.
