LOS ANGELES — USC women’s basketball gains an experienced guard for 2025-26 with the addition of Londynn Jones as a transfer from UCLA, the Trojans’ head coach Lindsay Gottlieb has announced. An all-conference honoree in her junior season, Jones has starred as a 3-point threat during her three seasons with the Bruins.
"I began recruiting Londynn back when she was in eighth grade, and I remained a fan of her talent and character throughout my time in the NBA,” Gottlieb said of Jones. "For these past few years, I’ve respected her as a fierce competitor on a rival team. I am so grateful and excited to now be wearing the same colors and to have the opportunity to coach Londynn. Known for her long-range shooting, I see Londynn as a dynamic combo guard who can impact the game in so many ways: off the bounce, as a shot creator for herself and others and as a fierce defender. She brings winning mindset and pedigree to the other side of town, as we can’t wait for her to suit up in Cardinal and Gold."
A 5-4 guard who grew up in Riverside, Calif., Jones earned All-Big Ten Honorable Mention this past season making 31 starts and playing in all 37 games for the Bruins in their run to the NCAA Final Four. She led the team in 3-pointers made with 72, averaging 8.5 points, 1.8 assists and 0.9 steals per game in her junior season. She holds UCLA’s single-season 3-point record with her 87 threes landed as a sophomore, having averaged 11.8 points, 1.9 assists and 1.0 steals per game that year. As a freshman, Jones earned a place on the 2023 Pac-12 All-Freshman Team and was a Pac-12 Freshman of the Week. In her three seasons at UCLA, she scored in double digits in 53 games.
