No. 15 USC Women's Soccer Falls 1-0 to Washington

LOS ANGELES – The No. 15 USC women's soccer team held the bulk of the possession, but were unable to create the chances necessary against Washington, falling 1-0 to the Huskies on Thursday night at Rawlinson Stadium.

The Trojans fall to 3-2-1 with the loss and open up Big Ten play at 0-1. Washington moves to 4-1-3 overall and 1-0 in conference action.

USC held 67% of the possession, but gave up a breakaway goal in the 29th minute that was the difference.

The Trojans created nine corners in the game and had six shots. Bella Grust made two saves in the game.

GOALS
29' – WASH: Alex Buck (assisted by Samiah Shell) – Shell played a long ball forward and Buck got in behind the USC defense, took a touch around the keeper and scored.

The Trojans hit the road for the first time this season next week, playing at Michigan on Thursday (Sept. 18) and at Michigan State on Sunday (Sept. 21).
