EAST LANSING, Mich. – The USC women's soccer team suffered its first road loss of the season on Sunday, falling to Michigan State 4-0 in East Lansing.

The Trojans fall to 4-3-1 (1-2) with the loss, while Michigan State moves to 4-2-4 (1-0-2).

Just 48 seconds into the game, the Spartans got on the board with a breakaway goal by Kennedy Bell, scoring on an open net, after popping it over the charging USC goalkeeper to take a 1-0 lead into the half.

After the break, the Spartans would add three second-half goals, the first coming in the 51^st minute from the middle of the box off a cross from Bell. Bell added her second goal of the game and fifth point 15 minutes later. The scoring concluded with a PK goal draw by Bell, and scored by Remini Tillotson in the 72^nd minute.

The Trojans had a PK opportunity in the 77^th minute, but the shot went wide left.

1' – MSU: Kennedy Bell (assisted by Ava Lutke) – Pass found Bell in the box and dribbled around the goalkeeper, firing into an open net.

51' – MSU: Kayla Briggs (assisted by Kennedy Bell) – Bell found Briggs inside the middle of the box and with one touch and a shot, found the inside of the top left post.

66' – MSU: Kennedy Bell (Kayla Briggs, Ella Janz) – A cross from Briggs found Bell alone making a run towards the back post and one-timed a shot into the back of the net.

71' – MSU: Remini Tillotson (unassisted) – Bell taken down in the box and awarded a PK. Tillotson right footed scored the attempt inside the right post.
