USC Cross Country Travels to UC Riverside Invitational Saturday

Five Trojans will compete in the women's 6k
RIVERSIDE, Calif. – The USC cross country team embarks on their second meet of the season at UC Riverside bright and early on Saturday. The UCR Invitational is scheduled to start with the women's 6k at 7:15 a.m. on the Agricultural Operations Course.
Isabella Duarte, Jacqueline Duarte, Holli Prest and Haley Spoden are all expected to return to the course after their season opener last month at Pepperdine. The Trojans are expected to add Paige Unger to the mix for her collegiate debut.
At the Pepperdine Waves Invite in August, all four Women of Troy placed in the top 30 out of 69 runners. Holli Prest led all Trojans with a time of 14:19.7 to finish 13th in her first collegiate meet.
The UC Riverside Invitational will be the first full 6k for the team this season. Brenda Martinez, in her first season as coach for the USC cross country team, is no stranger to the university's course as she graduated from UC Riverside as a three-time All-American in 2010.
