USC enters the weekend with a 6-2 overall record and is ranked No. 18 in the latest ITA Team Rankings (Feb. 11). The Trojans are coming off a 1-1 showing in the Bay Area, where they opened the event with an win over #11 Stanford before falling to No. 16 Cal just one day later.
USC placed five Trojans in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Rankings (Feb. 4), highlighted by a top-10 doubles team and four nationally ranked singles players.
In doubles, the All-American pair of Lily Fairclough and Dani Borruel checked in at No. 10 nationally, giving the Women of Troy one of the top tandems in the country.
In singles play, sophomore Jana Hossam leads the way at No. 27, followed by senior Emma Charney at No. 35. Freshmen Eugenia Zozaya and Krisha Mahendran checked in at No. 55 and No. 121, respectively,Â
FALL RECAP:
USC also made a significant impact at the NCAA Fall Individual Championships, qualifying six players across singles and doubles competition—tied for the most of any program in the country. Hossam highlighted the fall slate with a run to the NCAA Singles Semifinals, while Fairclough and Borruel matched that achievement by advancing to the NCAA Doubles Semifinals. Charney added to USC's postseason resume by reaching the NCAA Singles Round of 16.
