USC Sophomore Kennedy Smith Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

LOS ANGELES – USC women's basketball sophomore Kennedy Smith has been named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Team, recognizing her outstanding achievements both on the court and in the classroom.
Smith, a standout guard for the Women of Troy, earns the honor as part of the 2025-26 CSC Academic All-District® Women's Basketball Team, which highlights the nation's top student-athletes for their combined academic and athletic excellence. Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot, with national selections set to be announced in April.Â
Throughout the season, Smith has been a key contributor for USC, showcasing her impact on both ends of the floor while maintaining strong academic standing. She ranks second on the team in steals per game (1.9) and has elevated her play in key moments, particularly against ranked competition.

- Posted 17 points, nine rebounds, six assists, two blocks and a steal vs. No. 20 Nebraska
- Recorded her first double-double of the season (17 points, 11 rebounds) vs. Northwestern, adding five assists
- Tallied a career-high 20 points and six blocks against Illinois, with the blocks marking a USC season high
- Finished with 18 points on 6-of-9 shooting vs. Ohio State, adding four assists and a game-high three blocks
- Named to the Big Ten All-Defensive Team for her impact on that end of the floor
