USC’s Kara Dunn Signs Training Camp Contract with Phoenix Mercury

Dunn becomes the latest Trojan under Lindsay Gottlieb to earn an opportunity at making a WNBA roster.
LOS ANGELES — USC Trojan Kara Dunn, a 5-11 senior guard from Dallas, Ga., has signed a training camp contract with the Phoenix Mercury.
Dunn will work for an opportunity to make the Mercury roster following a standout collegiate career that concluded at USC during the 2025–26 season. After transferring to USC, Dunn made an immediate impact, earning All-Big Ten Second Team honors while starting all 32 games for the Trojans. She averaged 15.2 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game, finishing as the team's second-leading scorer and rebounder.
Throughout the season, Dunn showcased her scoring consistency and versatility. She scored 20 or more points in nine games, including an impressive stretch of seven consecutive games from Jan. 6–29.

- 21 points, nine rebounds and four assists against Oregon while shooting a perfect 5-for-5 from the free throw line
