USC Women's Volleyball Set to Open 2026 at State Farm Volleyball Showcase

The Women of Troy will take on Arizona State and Creighton in matches at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D.
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The USC women's volleyball team will open the 2026 season at the State Farm Volleyball Showcase set for Aug. 28-30 at the Sanford Pentagon, as announced by Intersport on Tuesday, May 12.

The Women of Troy will take on Arizona State from the Big XII in its first match on Saturday (Aug. 29) and will meet Creighton out of the Big East on Sunday (Aug. 30) as part of a five-match showcase of nationally televised contests.

On Friday (Aug. 28), Creighton takes on Purdue and Minnesota will play Arizona State. In addition to USC's match on Saturday, Creighton will meet Minnesota. Sunday's only match will feature the Trojans and the Bluejays. Friday and Saturday's doubleheaders will be shown on either FOX or FS1 while broadcast information for Sunday's USC-Creighton match will be announced later.

Tickets for the 2026 State Farm Women's Volleyball Showcase will go on sale June 11, with presale available beginning June 10. Tickets will be available for purchase at www.sanfordsports.com/events/volleyball-showcase.

"For years, we've been fortunate enough to host some of the best teams in the country in Sioux Falls. Launched in 2024, the State Farm Women's Volleyball Showcase shines a national spotlight on the start of the college volleyball season through elite competition, premium television exposure, and standout nonconference matchups. Previous fields have included Texas, Penn State, Wisconsin, Stanford, and Pittsburgh.

"Now in its third year, the State Farm Women's Volleyball Showcase has quickly become a tremendous early-season tradition, and we're excited to continue building on that momentum alongside our partners at FOX," said Mark Starsiak, senior vice president at Intersport. "This year's field features some of the most recognized and accomplished programs in college volleyball, and the Sanford Pentagon provides a first-class venue in a city that has consistently shown its ability to rally behind major events. We look forward to another exciting atmosphere to help open the 2026 college volleyball season."

Last fall, USC finished the regular season tied for third in the Big Ten. The Trojans were 25-7 overall with a 15-5 record in the Big Ten and were awarded one of 33 at-large berths—and a hosting bid—into the 2025 NCAA tournament. USC made its fourth straight appearance in the tourney under head coach Brad Keller (41st all-time) and moved into the second round for the fourth consecutive year with a 3-0 sweep of Princeton. The Women of Troy were eliminated from postseason play in a hard-fought five-set loss to Cal Poly in the second round.
