UNIVERSITY PARK, Penn. — The USC women's soccer team fell on the road at Penn State on Sunday, dropping a 1-0 decision to the Nittany Lions.

After the Trojans fell behind in the first half, McDermott equalized on a shot from nearly 25 yards out in the 50^th minute as USC moves to 1-5-3 overall and 0-2-1 in Big Ten action. Oregon moves to 6-1-2, 1-1-1.

A first-half goal was all Penn State needed in the defensive battle as USC falls to 1-7-3 overall with the loss and 0-4-1 in Big Ten play. Penn State improves to 5-2-3 overall and 3-1-1 in conference action.

Aubrey Kulpa scored in the 27^th minute for the home team after a takeaway in the area and shot into the upper left corner.
